Twitter is the place where conversations take place online. While it started as a text only micro-blogging tool, it evolved to include images and videos for better engagement.
To make your Twitter page stand out, make sure that your Twitter Header Image is larger and contrasts against your Profile Photo.

Pinterest is the platform where curation of images and sharing takes place. Have you known someone who has planned their wedding, or home renovation project using Pinterest? I sure have!
When it comes to Pinterest images, you will have to consider vertical (portrait) images as Pinterest was designed to cater for tall images rather than wide images.

LinkedIn is the leading Professional Social Network by far. While you don't expect to be sharing or browsing cat photos on this network, having a beautifully designed Cover and well shot Personal Profile image will help you stand out amongst the crowd amongst recruiters (and get hired!).

None of us are strangers to YouTube, where some of us spend hours watching videos after videos (thanks to YouTube's smart algorithms and suggestions).
Creating a great video doesn't guarantee your video will be watched. You will have to catch the attention with eye-catching thumbnails.

Phew! That was a lot of information. Did you get all of that?
If you create images and videos in advanced tools like Photoshop or Adobe Premier, referencing dimensions of each social network and their requirements will certainly help! Refer to this infographic to never skip a beat!
If you are a solopreneur or part of a small team, or is not design savvy, creating social image images can be real challenge!
A FAR EASIER way is to simply use an image editing tool that caters for all these sizes. They even have pre-built templates to get you started in no time!
Here are some suggestions. All these tools are web-based tools that you can use in your browser - no downloads required.
Tools Mentioned
Crello
Crello is an easy to use, web-based image creation tool that you can use to create your social media images.
You can not only select from preset dimensions from each social media channel, but there are also beautifully designed templates that you can start off with instead of a blank canvas.
Once you start off with a template, you can make changes entirely to it.
Change background image, edit text, add objects and more.
Once you have created your ideal image, you can also resize your design fairly easy to other social media sizes, instead of starting from scratch!
Stencil
Stencil is another tool that you can use to create social media images.
Select from one of the templates based on the social media channel. Premade designs will be available, which you can edit all aspects of the image easily via the editor.
Once you have created your image, you can resize it to other social media dimensions easily.
Just like that, your image will be "smart resized"!
Glorify
Glorify is a wonderful image editing platform. With their ecommerce focus, you can be sure your images will be "glorified" using it!
Again, select from one of the social media sizes.
There are numerous elegantly designed templates that you can choose from. You won't be starting from a blank page!
Once you start off with a template, all elements of the image is editable. Change background, font, colors, add icons, shapes, your own images.
Once you are ready, you can also resize your image to dimensions for other social media platforms.
RelayThat
RelayThat is a unique social media tool that takes on an entirely different approach.
You simply specify your text, colors, images, and RelayThat will iterate NUMEROUS dimensions for all the various social media platforms, as well as different designs for the same dimensions.
Magic resize is the key selling point of RelayThat. You almost don't have to lift a finger! This is a real time saver.
The downside to this approach is the images are not easily customizable - you rely on the platform's inbuilt designs.
You can still select from the numerous templates available for any dimension that you choose.
